Job Description
The Salvage Yard Tire Technician is responsible for dismounting rims off tires.The technician will also be responsible for ensuring that all tires are properly sorted and prepared for sale to customers while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Dismount all tires and decide which ones are good for sales
Sort and prepare all tires for sale to customers, ensuring that they are organized.
Assist in maintainingaccurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regardingsalvage yard operations.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position.
Knowledge of tires
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintainaccurate records.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yards.
Must pass a background and drug screen
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
